While they are very close, we use reference distances and names for communication purposes. There is no official measurement since the courses are primarily off-road and feature elevation changes that differ from standard road race profiles.
Although the courses present no major technical difficulties, they are mostly off-road. Therefore, wearing strictly road-running shoes may cause some discomfort. Still, any regular running shoe will be adequate to complete the challenge.
Regardless of the distance, we recommend carrying water to ensure self-sufficiency between aid stations.
